Domestic violence and abuse can have a severe and long lasting impact on a victims’/survivors’ participation in work, in their connection with colleagues and their health and wellbeing generally. Often the workplace can be that all important lifeline for victims/survivors so it is important that they feel supported, can seek help and are afforded the flexibility to manage their situation.

We can all play our part in raising awareness and understanding of domestic violence and abuse, and contributing towards breaking the associated stigma. The resources on this page provide practical guidance on how to support colleagues who are experiencing domestic abuse, which may be affecting them in the workplace.

As national and organisational supports and resources develop over time, this page and these documents may be updated periodically to reflect developments in the area, including training, awareness campaigns and additional support resources.
